“Before I started the detox here at EarthFIT, I suffered from chronic hives for 4 years of my life, I went to see so many doctors for the first year it happened. They wanted to give me Z-pacs, shots, all these medicines. Finally, I spoke to someone who mentioned that Zyrtec might help so in the past 4 years I kept Zyrtec in my system the entire time so that was really my main goal going in was how maybe, maybe I could get rid of the hives; maybe I can stop taking the allergy medicine all together. The second thing is that everyday was different, but some days I’d be super foggy headed, I couldn’t think clear, I would second guess myself that kind of thing. “Hey! What’s going on? It’s Ian Hart here at EarthFIT and today I’m going to just go give you a little tour of the sauna and then give a pointers on keeping it clean, how you want to handle the sauna, how you want to use it, how it’s powerful for detox and then I’m actually going to jump in the sauna for about an hour today myself, and I’ve been building up to an hour. The first day I did about half hour, 35 minutes, I did 45 minutes the next one, and then I’ve build up to it. And then I’m going to be doing a specific detox after that.
So here is the sauna, it’s a 4 person sauna as you can see it has a stereo system. Right now it’s on clear glass, we’re going to be getting some dividers here so people won’t be looking out at the gym because right now this is open to the gym.
And so there’s a few things for the sauna. You want to be extremely hydrated, you do want to progress to longer term. The power is in the sweating so when you’re sweating we know that the toxins are coming out from the sweat. This is proven through research that the sweat you do in your training is helpful but in the sauna the toxins increases by a large percentage like 80-90% more.
This is most powerful after a training so if you do a training you want to go into a sauna, you continue to sweat you’ll get more toxins out. In the training it uses your cardiovascular system so it gets the toxins circulating and now there’s two ways that the toxins get out your body – through your intestinal tract, and through the sweat. And so we do the sweating and then I always recommend if you’re not doing the actual detox which includes supplements that you take bentonite clay, bentonite clay binds with the toxins in your gut and carries them out. You can also use activated charcoal but activated charcoals are a little bit harsh on the body, it does absorbs a lot of toxins and the minerals in your body as well which is not that beneficial but it can be beneficial if you have like serious toxins in the body. They use it at the emergency room if you overdose on you know drugs, alcohol etc. to absorb the toxins.
So once you go into the sauna you want to make sure you’re not overheating so you should be extremely hydrated and you should hydrate while you are in there. You’re going to start pouring sweat, you want to grab a few towels and be continuously wiping the sweat down. Sometimes it gets annoying because you’re like you’re really sweating in here non stop like you wipe on place and then where you wiped 2 seconds later you’re sweating again. But, because there’s toxins and the sweat you don’t want to get it re-absorbed so you want to wipe it and get it absorbed in the towel about 15-20 minutes in the towel I’m using and I don’t really sweat that much like compared to some other people, it’s pretty much soaking wet so you want to have 3 or 4 towels ready if you’re going to go in for an hour. If you hit a point where you feel extremely fatigue and tired from it, you can just step out or open up the door if it’s just you by yourself. You can just step out for 2 seconds if you’re in there with other people who want to keep it hot there’s a timer. We want to set the timer… and actually I’m going to set the timer it’s about to go out as I step in here so I’m going to go up 60 minutes. And then if the door is open like it is right now it’s going to go down in temperature quite a bit, it’s a 117 degrees in there. As soon as I close the door it’s going to start to go up in temperature. It’s set at its highest possible degree right now which is 158 degrees. I’ve noticed that at set with 158, it goes up to about 145-146 it never really gets up to 158. I haven’t seen that yet.
And when you’re done, you ‘re gonna be sweating and dripping sweat all over there inside and so it’s very important that we keep it clean. Again, these are toxins coming out of you. So we have a bucket here to wash down and we’re going to be getting… we have a mop that’s going to be attached, not a mop but a scrub brush. We would sweat it down in the bucket and take it inside and scrub down completely the area that you have been sitting in that’s wet with the sweat. And then we scrub it down and then we wipe it down again with a dry towel just to take up all the toxins and then we will be cleaning it once a week – a full cleaning.
The other thing that is very important to know is that after your session in the sauna, you want to take a cold shower for few reasons; This will cool your core temperature, it will wash off the toxins and sweat in the body. You don’t want to keep that on you for a long time and it helps your immune system, and actually stimulates your immune system so it helps your lymphatic system drain out some of the toxins again and then if you’re drinking a big glass of bentonite clay… let me show you what I have right now. These are my water supply for the session. I’ve already drank about 8 cups of water so I have another 4 cups of water here and another 2 and a half here. This is bentonite clay, I’m going to drink this after my session or maybe a little bit during it to absorb more of the toxins.

Alright, and they’ve seen these symptoms disappear as soon as the toxins release and you can actually see it on the towel. “I never thought I’d be racing, auto racing again and I know Ian promised me that we’ll see where we can go and we’ll get you better than you were. I didn’t know I would get that far, and people are amazed. I’ve got friends from before I had all the surgeries and they’re just amazed that I’m now able to do all that.

Well, before EarthFIT, I’ve gone through a number of operations, knees and I had some back issues. So, what I do because of the back issues, and even after going through therapy, I was no longer able to work on cars. I had to give up auto racing which I really like, and I like walking. I couldn’t walk more than about a quarter of a mile. Before, I used a cane. In fact, I had to use a cane a lot at work for my knees. So I went to Ian in March of 2013 and told him, “well, I’ll try anything,” and we just started with the basic stretches. I wasn’t really able to lift weights at that point and now at this point I’ve been racing cars for the last 2 years, I can work on cars, I can also, you know, lift up wheels and tires, I can do 135lbs on the deadlift. I’ve gone from my 38 waist to a 33 waist, and I’ve gone from a 207 lbs to a 172 lbs and maintaining that weight now. I’m just trying to stay in shape and working out so I’m extremely happy with what Ian’s done for me at EarthFIT.
I was skeptical at first when I talked to Ian. I’ve been through some therapy up north when I was up there, and they just did stretches and stuff and they really were not able to do much for me so I was skeptical, but again, willing to try anything and I was impressed when I looked at a video on the back issues so it helped the fact that Ian had gone through some of the issues I had with the back, and so it worked. I’m extremely happy.
I’ve lost from 207 to 172, so 35lbs I lost, but more importantly at least from me is I lost 5 inches off the waist. This biggest impact is the fact I’m now like to stay active. I’m not really a TV person or I don’t like to sit around. I like to be active whether, you know, going to the race track, going to car shows, or just walking. I really enjoy just going for nice long walks and I’m able to do all that. It’s fine. I’m tired at the end of the day but that’s a good thing.”
“When under stress or in a threatening situation, we will tend to revert back to our lowest form of habit. When the mind perceives a threat, we may unconsciously reach for cake, graze on potato chips, binge drink, or even do something much worse. Just fill in your worst habit that you continue to repeat in order to cope or avoid feelings. It all depends on the situation, the person, and numerous other factors, but the point is that this typically happens without your conscious mind being involved. You took the action without completely thinking it through consciously.
If you thought the action through, then you probably wouldn’t do it, knowing that it is destructive to the body, right?
Thinking it through would look something like this: “If I go out and have 5-8 drinks tonight, I will wake up tomorrow feeling like crap, looking bloated, having gained a few lbs, feeling lethargic and less productive for the rest of the week.”
Does that sound like a success plan?
Well, this is happening with a large percentage of the population. Many people are living in a constant state of stress and are programed by this fear to take action that is not in their best interest.
In this example I use alcohol because it is a common “stress reliever.”
How many people do you know are stressed out and say, “I am going to journal, pray, meditate, go for a run, eat a healthy meal, and get a great night’s sleep, and everything will be cool in the morning?”
You typically hear, “I am stressed out; I need a drink,” which creates a habit that can be destructive in the end. Alcohol helps us forget and stuff emotions deep down inside, whereas journaling, meditating, and exercising allow us to process the information and work through it in a healthy way.
After drinking to relax, the problem is still there. In fact, the situation will probably worsen because alcohol raises blood pressure and increases anxiety the next day, which makes the problem and the stress level even greater. So, the options are to create a habit of drinking to relax, or to find another healthy habit to deal with stress that promotes growth and greater understanding so that you can steer your life in the direction of your dreams, whether it is something as simple as becoming more lean, toned and attractive, or having more love, happiness and freedom in your life.
The higher our level of consciousness, the better we can create our future to match the life we envision, the life of our dreams.”
“Hey! What’s going on? Today I wanted to speak to you about toxic overload and how to detox the body. Today, as opposed to a hundred years ago, we are taking on in our bodies excessive amount of toxins that our bodies are not used to. So where are these toxic chemicals coming from? Well they’re coming from all over the place, right? Our water – chlorinated, fluoridated, defined antidepressants, pain medications, statins, all of these stuff is now leeched into our water and there’s not much we can do about it besides getting a high power filter. But if you already have those toxins in you then we have to get them out some way, and I’m going to explain that as this video goes on.
Now, this is not just drinking water, if you take a shower it has chemicals; it’s going in through your skin as well, so a lot of people recommend actually travelling with a filter for the shower because it prevents the chemicals from getting into your body when you go around to these different places. We don’t know what’s in the water. Now, air pollution. Simple air pollution gets a lot of chemicals into the body. Preservatives, additives in our food. Our food is laid with chemicals nowadays. Detergents, perfumes, solvents, there’s just like tons of chemicals everywhere you go. Sometimes it’s the least expected thing that is giving you chemicals or putting chemicals into your body.
So what determines how toxic you are? Well, your age determines how much toxins you have in you and the exposure to certain chemicals. So, for me for example, I grew up swimming, you know. I started swimming at a very early age. I stopped swimming probably when I was about 14, so from about 5 years old to 14 years old I was in chlorinated pools an excessive amount of time. Chlorine is not healthy for the body and that toxic chemical can sit inside my body. So, have I processed that chlorine out? Probably not, but I wouldn’t really know until I actually do a detox program to get that stuff out and there have been instances where people who are swimmers have done a detox program, which I’ll explain, and the chlorine has come out years and years later until a point where they’re sitting in a sauna and they could smell the chlorine and people had to leave, other people from the sauna had to leave because it was so toxic.
Many people think that our liver is the only way that we do the detox so you have your liver, your liver is supposed to detox and detox everything out of the body. Well the liver does do a lot of detoxing, but unfortunately, it can’t do all of it and now, with overload of chemicals, those chemicals can’t get processed fast enough and get excreted through the body, so they are stored in certain places like the joints, like fat. The main place that you’re going to see this is in the fat. Toxins get stored in the fat. So just fat burning helps to release these toxins. But we want to carry these toxins outside of the body so sometimes it gets released in the fat and it just gets circulated throughout the body and nothing carries it out and it goes right back into the fat and into the brain. Remember, your brain is 60% fat.
There is a detox program, there’s numerous detox program people say the 21- day detox or the 7- day detox. This program which I’m about to explain has been proven; it’s been going on for 40/50 years, it’s progressed and improved upon; there’s many doctors out there doing this program – Dr. Yu is one of them, he’s been speaking about it for years and years and years. The starter of the program was actually L. Ron Hubbard, the creator of Scientology. I hope that doesn’t turn you off from this, ‘cause in reality Ron Hubbard was an absolute genius. He was deep into biochemistry and physiology of the body. So, I’m going to just simply, very small, I’m not an expert in this, I’ve been researching it for a while but I’m going to explain to you the process so it helps you understand how toxins can get out of your body and out of your brain so that you can live a cleaner and clearer life and not feel, you know, the feelings we get from toxic exposure which is anxiety, depression, lethargy, chronic fatigue issues, and then not to mention all the diseases that come from toxic exposures, so neurodegeneration, neuro diseases, diseases in the nerves of the body, dementia, alzheimer’s, all these things have a place in dealing with chemicals and toxins. So when we remove the toxins a lot of times we will see the symptoms disappear.
This is the process… one of the ways that L. Ron Hubbard found out is that taking B vitamins, specifically niacin B3, that helps to explode the fat cells essentially in layman’s terms and so the fat cells which hold the toxins then release the toxins out to the body and there’s a progressive model of how much niacin you take and it should be done specifically and this is again in medical advice so if you feel like you have toxic overload, seek a medical professional for any of this stuff. The toxins get released into the body, you go and exercise, specifically using your cardiovascular system because a cardiovascular system is designed to remove waste from the body. Then the next step would be going into an infrared sauna; not all infrared saunas are created equal so you want to make sure that you’re going into a good sauna. Those infrared saunas are proven to excrete 90% more toxins through sweat than if you’re going to do it through exercise or any other way. Alright, so that is through the skin. There’s two main ways where these toxins get released from: through your skin, so that is the sauna, then once you’re done with the sauna you can do it in the process of being in the sauna, but typically afterwards you take the activated Charcoal and or Calcium Bentonite Clay. You might have heard some of my videos about Calcium Bentonite Clay, how it has a negative ionic charge and how the toxins have ionic positive charge and so it’s done through the process called adsorption not ab but adsorption because the negative ion from the charcoal attracts the toxins, adsorbs it, takes it and brings it through your body so you’re removing toxins that way. Activated charcoal removes everything, it removes good minerals, bad minerals, all that stuff so through this process we’re always replacing the minerals, vitamins, etc.. Activated charcoal is a great way to remove the toxins, if you go out drinking it’s recommended you take activated charcoal to lessen the hangover or completely remove the hangover.
When you’re doing this process, it’s a must that you’re drinking a ton of water and taking in the good fats to replace the bad fats that have been burned off through the process and releasing the toxins, minerals, vitamins, etc.. So, specifically magnesium, good fats like coconut oil, omega 3s as well as taking vitamin D, D3. All of that in process will have boost your immune system or replace the electrolytes, all the minerals that you’re losing through this process, and when it’s done consistently and efficiently, which must be done consistently and efficiently because if you don’t follow this process consistently and efficiently for 3-4 weeks on a consistent basis what happens is you can end up putting the toxins back into the brain and back into the fat deposits, and the next time that you’re trying to do this it will become harder and harder because the body will protect itself from it.
So, this is something that we are going to be bringing into our training facility because I feel like it’s one of the most powerful ways to not only burn fat, get healthy and feel good, but it’s one of the best ways to have a clear body, clear mind; something that many of us nowadays are missing and we don’t even realize how our mind and body are affected by toxic chemicals that are in them and so this is a simple explanation of something that we will be getting into and is very important I think for everybody’s health. And this process has been used to help eliminate radiation, they actually use this stuff for people who have been exposed to Gulf War, the Gulf War Syndrome, those toxic chemicals, 911 victims who inhaled all those chemicals when they went to clean up the mess, on and on and on… So it’s an awesome tool to use on your path to feel amazing, looking your best, but really having the mind-body connection and that is what it’s all about. “Hey guys! Ben here, Precision Nutrition Coach. Again I’ll be talking about more supplements with you. The supplement I’ll be speaking about today is going to help you improve your gut function, your digestion and then also it’s going to help boost your immune system. Thus, some questions I’d like to ask you right now are:
Are you currently feeling things like bloating? gassiness?
When you eat a meal, does it not seem to sit well? Or immediately after again you get bloated and gassy?
Are you currently getting acid reflux where you know again, you eat something and it just doesn’t seem to sit right.
Are your bowel movements irregular?
Are you getting sick very frequently? It seems like you’re always sick and no matter what you do you can’t get better.

The supplement I’m specifically talking now is probiotics and here at EarthFIT we have probiotic supplement in particular by the Qivana company that we sell and this is going to help you replenish the probiotic storage within your body. You may ask yourself why do I even need a probiotic? Shouldn’t my body be getting the beneficial bacteria from things like yogurt, and other things like that. Those foods aren’t very beneficial, they don’t give you enough probiotics, and what happens is those yogurts that you’re consuming actually have more harmful ingredients like the sugar and artificial sweeteners that are killing off the probiotics within them. So when you go to the doctors what do they recommend? They write you prescription and then they hand you an antibiotic and you’ll go pick it up and take it without any thinking about it. Antibiotics is against life so when the doctor writes you prescription and hands it to you it’s actually giving you something that is against life, it kills life, whereas the probiotic is beneficial for life. So, antibiotics kill off the probiotics in your gut. Other things that kill off the probiotics in your gut are artificial sweeteners. It’s a toxins to the body so again, it’s a toxin, it’s a poison, it kills things in your body. So artificial sweeteners, artificial food colorings, same thing as sweeteners, it’s toxic to the body, it kills off…
Gluten: Gluten is very inflammatory and it destroys the gut itself it destroys the microvilli which are the little particles in your gut that help assimilate and digest food and help absorb. It destroys that and really inflames the intestines so again, you’re killing off more probiotics that way. So, those are several things that you are eating without any thinking about it and then companies like the packaged food companies, they put in other chemicals and toxins that you’re not even currently aware of, they’re killing off the probiotics in the body.
So, what are the benefits of taking a probiotic? The benefits that you’re going to receive is going to be:
An increase in your gut function, your digestion so you’re going to have better digestion
Your assimilation of nutrients so you’re now digesting better. What’s going to happen is you will assimilate all the nutrients better. You may have heard of the saying “You are what you eat.” the saying should actually be you are what you digest and assimilate so the nutrients that actually get absorbed within the body are going to be the nutrients that are beneficial.
Other things that you’re going to benefit from taking probiotics is a boost in your immune function. I can’t even remember the last time I was sick because I currently take a probiotics daily and my sickness just stays at the minimum. I never feel down, I never have to call off work or call off when I was at school because of I was sick. I always felt well. Whereas my friends they’re always sick, they seem to come out with just a cold that everybody at the school was getting… things like that.
You’re going to have a decrease in the bloating, decrease in the gassiness from taking the probiotics and just you will have an overall better well being from taking the probiotics.
You will feel much better just throughout the day.
Your clothes will fit better, you will have a better self image of yourself.
