“Hey! What’s going on? It’s Ian Hart here with EarthFIT Training and I get asked often why is our training different, how come we get better results in training, etc.. And so, before you can get into that I explain to people how training works in a broad sense, in a general sense. I’m going to explain to you in a minute here a supercompensation model that will help you understand how you get results in training in a very basic, and simplistic way. And so let’s get into it…
When someone comes in for an assessment I test their base level of fitness and let’s say this is over a week. And so when someone comes in and they’re training I test their base level of fitness, we’re seeing where they’re currently at, at their fitness level. Everybody’s at different fitness levels and when I train them typically what happens, and this is what is supposed to happen, is they fatigue the body, they lose ATP and glycogen – that’s the energy in the muscle in the body, their nervous system gets fatigue, their immune system gets fatigue. So as they’re training, we’re fatiguing the body. And the changes don’t occur to the body until they go home, they eat, they sleep, they drink water, they recover and what happens is the body recovers at a better state, and the body has amazing ability to adapt to whatever stress you are putting on it and it recovers in the instance that the stress might occur so it’s comparing for the next time that that might occur and that’s what is called supercompensation. And you have to train in this period in a progressive scientific way again to see your base level improved, and that’s why a minimum of 2x a week in a progressive scientific way is needed to see your base level improve. And when I’m talking about a progressive, scientific way, I’m talking about if you ran one day a week and you swam one day a week you wouldn’t get better at either. You have to run at least 2x a week.
The real scientific results and studies show that 3x a week is really necessary to improve your cardiovascular. But let’s say it was 2x a week where you ran a mile, the second time that week you either have to run the mile faster to get results or you have to run a little bit longer distance, right? or maybe let’s say you run in a slight incline. There’s got to be some variable change and that’s a progression. So that’s 2x a week. 3x a week you see about 30% more results than 2 x a week, 4x a week we see about 25% more than 3x a week and then if you train too hard, too much, too often in the long term typically what happens is we see overtraining and that is a detriment to your training as well. We don’t want that to happen.
And so with our training what we did is we took all the years of knowledge and combine, we took the best of what we saw and combine in one training – strength, endurance, cardio, flexibility, mobility, stability. It has strength, conditioning and those mobility aspects of a training which helps people to get results in the safest, fastest, and most effective way all backed by science so this gives you an insight as to how training works and there you have it. “Before I joined EarthFIT and before I started the program, my life was not existent. I had issues with my back – severe back pain. I couldn’t get up off a chair. “Hey! What’s going on? So today I’m going to go over a simple workout routine that you can do in about 10 or 15 minutes that will give you an awesome workout and it will help with cardiovascular and aerobic capacity as well as upper body strength so the way that it goes, it’s going to be 5 repetitions of 3 sets and it’s going to be what’s called speed, endurance with running so you’re gonna find 50 yard space and you’re going to start off at one end and sprint 50 yards building up the speed so you’re going to start off fairly slow and towards the end you’re going to explode as fast as you can for the last 10 yards and then you jog back and then you repeat 5 reps. And then in between, you’re gonna be doing 10-15 reps of pushups, feel free to push yourself up to 20 reps. This really depends on where you are at your fitness level and you’re going to be doing that 3 sets. So I’m going to demo how you’re going to do one of the sprints and then the push ups.
Alright, so I’m going to show you 1 rep of the sprints. You’re gonna do 5 reps of that and then going to the pushups. Alright, so here is my starting spot going to get in position, slowly start off and then speed up and then jog back to the starting spot and then repeat that for 5 reps and then in between we’re going to be doing pushups where you do a toe touch each time so faster movements okay depending where you are at your fitness level 10, 15, 20 reps as many as you can do of those push ups with good form. Do 1 set, rest about a minute and then repeat for 3 total sets.

“Hey! What’s going on? A few things to go over about the sauna that are very important before you use your sessions.
First and foremost, you can sign up easily online just as if you’re training here at EarthFIT. The second thing is probably the next most important thing is that your hydration levels need to be increased by like 50, 60, a hundred percent because it’s gonna heat your body internally like the sun does without the radiation; that’s the effect that it gives and it helps to eliminate the toxins faster and you’re gonna lose a lot of sweat. Essentially the best way to do it is after a training session you go into the sauna so you’re gonna lose twice or triple the amount of sweat. So, increase your hydration, preferably put in some himalayan sea salt in your water to get your electrolytes back. It’s going to be eliminating toxins, it’s shown through the sweat in the sauna, you’ll be eliminating about 20/ 30% more toxins through your sweat and that’s one of the benefits of the program or the sauna.
A few things: because you’re eliminating toxins while you’re sweating you kind of want to be wiping down consistently so you don’t reabsorb the toxins. So bring towels in, wipe down the sweat, you also want to be wiping down the area once you are finished. So we have a little brush there that you can dump in the bucket and wipe down the area that you sweat on on the bench or on the floor and then you can wipe it down with the towel as well. I would recommend directly after taking a cold shower; this will increase the benefits, it will help your lymphatic system and it will also cool your core temperature right away.
We have 4 half hour sessions that we’re giving initially to people until September 15th. I’d recommend that you start off with the 1/2 hour. If you feel fine with that then increase to an hour session cause you’ll get the most benefits of an hour in the sauna.
There are contraindications with using the sauna. In the email that I sent out there’s a link and you could look out the list. I’ll always just recommend you know asking your physician if it’s okay, if you’re taking medications, etc. if it’s contraindicated.
Again, it’s best to use the sauna directly after the training session. The reason being the cardiovascular system help mobilized the toxins and then if you go into the sauna it will help get them out of your body, and it will also enhance the recovery of your training session. You’ll feel better afterwards.We want to keep the sauna completely clean so again clean up right afterwards, after you use it but we will be cleaning it weekly, we’ll be doing deep cleans to make sure and ensure that it is clean for you. And now I’m just gonna walk through the training right now and take you to the sauna real quickly you get a glance at that training as well. So we’re in the Saturday training right now – Strength Training.
And…here’s the sauna. Alright, so another thing about the sauna: we want a limited amount of clothing while you’re in the sauna. It doesn’t penetrate clothing well (the heat waves in the sauna.) So you want to come inside here, close the door to regulate the temperature. You can open up the door. You’ll see what the temperature is right here. Roughly, we want to get it above 120. Alright, and then the timer’s right here. We can increase the time. We have an AUX cord in here so if you want to bring an ipad or your phone you can hook it up here and then we have speakers so you can listen to your music. This is a 4 person sauna we’re limiting it to 3 people because it does gonna get tight in here so just be respectful of others in here if they just wanna chill out, hang out, that’s the important thing.
Alright, so we also have medical grade chromotherapy. This is a healthy radiation light wave that is given off by the sun. This is been proven to help with diseases or cure diseases or get rid of diseases essentially. So there’s numerous functions and benefits of the sauna if you haven’t seen the list of benefits that I put down please check it out because they’re endless and the results that we’ve been hearing about the sauna are just incredible and me myself have seen incredible results. But one of the main reasons that we got the sauna in the first place was to do the niacin detox protocol and that will be for eliminating toxins that you’ve accumulated over the years that are stored in the fat cells and are hard to get out of your system. “I never thought I’d be racing, auto racing again and I know Ian promised me that we’ll see where we can go and we’ll get you better than you were. I didn’t know I would get that far, and people are amazed. I’ve got friends from before I had all the surgeries and they’re just amazed that I’m now able to do all that.
I talk to people; I would definitely recommend no matter where they are because if you’re not happy with where you are you’ve got nothing to lose, and the main thing is you just got to don’t give up, you just got to try.
Well, before EarthFIT, I’ve gone through a number of operations, knees and I had some back issues. So, what I do because of the back issues, and even after going through therapy, I was no longer able to work on cars. I had to give up auto racing which I really like, and I like walking. I couldn’t walk more than about a quarter of a mile. Before, I used a cane. In fact, I had to use a cane a lot at work for my knees. So I went to Ian in March of 2013 and told him, “well, I’ll try anything,” and we just started with the basic stretches. I wasn’t really able to lift weights at that point and now at this point I’ve been racing cars for the last 2 years, I can work on cars, I can also, you know, lift up wheels and tires, I can do 135lbs on the deadlift. I’ve gone from my 38 waist to a 33 waist, and I’ve gone from a 207 lbs to a 172 lbs and maintaining that weight now. I’m just trying to stay in shape and working out so I’m extremely happy with what Ian’s done for me at EarthFIT.
I was skeptical at first when I talked to Ian. I’ve been through some therapy up north when I was up there, and they just did stretches and stuff and they really were not able to do much for me so I was skeptical, but again, willing to try anything and I was impressed when I looked at a video on the back issues so it helped the fact that Ian had gone through some of the issues I had with the back, and so it worked. I’m extremely happy.
I’ve lost from 207 to 172, so 35lbs I lost, but more importantly at least from me is I lost 5 inches off the waist. This biggest impact is the fact I’m now like to stay active. “Hey! What’s going on? Today I wanted to speak to you about toxic overload and how to detox the body. Today, as opposed to a hundred years ago, we are taking on in our bodies excessive amount of toxins that our bodies are not used to. So where are these toxic chemicals coming from? Well they’re coming from all over the place, right? Our water – chlorinated, fluoridated, defined antidepressants, pain medications, statins, all of these stuff is now leeched into our water and there’s not much we can do about it besides getting a high power filter. But if you already have those toxins in you then we have to get them out some way, and I’m going to explain that as this video goes on.
Now, this is not just drinking water, if you take a shower it has chemicals; it’s going in through your skin as well, so a lot of people recommend actually travelling with a filter for the shower because it prevents the chemicals from getting into your body when you go around to these different places. We don’t know what’s in the water. Now, air pollution. Simple air pollution gets a lot of chemicals into the body. Preservatives, additives in our food. Our food is laid with chemicals nowadays. Detergents, perfumes, solvents, there’s just like tons of chemicals everywhere you go. Sometimes it’s the least expected thing that is giving you chemicals or putting chemicals into your body.
So what determines how toxic you are? Well, your age determines how much toxins you have in you and the exposure to certain chemicals. So, for me for example, I grew up swimming, you know. I started swimming at a very early age. I stopped swimming probably when I was about 14, so from about 5 years old to 14 years old I was in chlorinated pools an excessive amount of time. Chlorine is not healthy for the body and that toxic chemical can sit inside my body. So, have I processed that chlorine out? Probably not, but I wouldn’t really know until I actually do a detox program to get that stuff out and there have been instances where people who are swimmers have done a detox program, which I’ll explain, and the chlorine has come out years and years later until a point where they’re sitting in a sauna and they could smell the chlorine and people had to leave, other people from the sauna had to leave because it was so toxic.
Many people think that our liver is the only way that we do the detox so you have your liver, your liver is supposed to detox and detox everything out of the body. Well the liver does do a lot of detoxing, but unfortunately, it can’t do all of it and now, with overload of chemicals, those chemicals can’t get processed fast enough and get excreted through the body, so they are stored in certain places like the joints, like fat. The main place that you’re going to see this is in the fat. Toxins get stored in the fat. So just fat burning helps to release these toxins. But we want to carry these toxins outside of the body so sometimes it gets released in the fat and it just gets circulated throughout the body and nothing carries it out and it goes right back into the fat and into the brain. Remember, your brain is 60% fat.
There is a detox program, there’s numerous detox program people say the 21- day detox or the 7- day detox. This program which I’m about to explain has been proven; it’s been going on for 40/50 years, it’s progressed and improved upon; there’s many doctors out there doing this program – Dr. Yu is one of them, he’s been speaking about it for years and years and years. The starter of the program was actually L. Ron Hubbard, the creator of Scientology. I hope that doesn’t turn you off from this, ‘cause in reality Ron Hubbard was an absolute genius. He was deep into biochemistry and physiology of the body. So, I’m going to just simply, very small, I’m not an expert in this, I’ve been researching it for a while but I’m going to explain to you the process so it helps you understand how toxins can get out of your body and out of your brain so that you can live a cleaner and clearer life and not feel, you know, the feelings we get from toxic exposure which is anxiety, depression, lethargy, chronic fatigue issues, and then not to mention all the diseases that come from toxic exposures, so neurodegeneration, neuro diseases, diseases in the nerves of the body, dementia, alzheimer’s, all these things have a place in dealing with chemicals and toxins. So when we remove the toxins a lot of times we will see the symptoms disappear.
This is the process… one of the ways that L. Ron Hubbard found out is that taking B vitamins, specifically niacin B3, that helps to explode the fat cells essentially in layman’s terms and so the fat cells which hold the toxins then release the toxins out to the body and there’s a progressive model of how much niacin you take and it should be done specifically and this is again in medical advice so if you feel like you have toxic overload, seek a medical professional for any of this stuff. The toxins get released into the body, you go and exercise, specifically using your cardiovascular system because a cardiovascular system is designed to remove waste from the body. Then the next step would be going into an infrared sauna; not all infrared saunas are created equal so you want to make sure that you’re going into a good sauna. Those infrared saunas are proven to excrete 90% more toxins through sweat than if you’re going to do it through exercise or any other way. Alright, so that is through the skin. There’s two main ways where these toxins get released from: through your skin, so that is the sauna, then once you’re done with the sauna you can do it in the process of being in the sauna, but typically afterwards you take the activated Charcoal and or Calcium Bentonite Clay. You might have heard some of my videos about Calcium Bentonite Clay, how it has a negative ionic charge and how the toxins have ionic positive charge and so it’s done through the process called adsorption not ab but adsorption because the negative ion from the charcoal attracts the toxins, adsorbs it, takes it and brings it through your body so you’re removing toxins that way. Activated charcoal removes everything, it removes good minerals, bad minerals, all that stuff so through this process we’re always replacing the minerals, vitamins, etc.. Activated charcoal is a great way to remove the toxins, if you go out drinking it’s recommended you take activated charcoal to lessen the hangover or completely remove the hangover.
When you’re doing this process, it’s a must that you’re drinking a ton of water and taking in the good fats to replace the bad fats that have been burned off through the process and releasing the toxins, minerals, vitamins, etc.. So, specifically magnesium, good fats like coconut oil, omega 3s as well as taking vitamin D, D3. All of that in process will have boost your immune system or replace the electrolytes, all the minerals that you’re losing through this process, and when it’s done consistently and efficiently, which must be done consistently and efficiently because if you don’t follow this process consistently and efficiently for 3-4 weeks on a consistent basis what happens is you can end up putting the toxins back into the brain and back into the fat deposits, and the next time that you’re trying to do this it will become harder and harder because the body will protect itself from it.
So, this is something that we are going to be bringing into our training facility because I feel like it’s one of the most powerful ways to not only burn fat, get healthy and feel good, but it’s one of the best ways to have a clear body, clear mind; something that many of us nowadays are missing and we don’t even realize how our mind and body are affected by toxic chemicals that are in them and so this is a simple explanation of something that we will be getting into and is very important I think for everybody’s health. And this process has been used to help eliminate radiation, they actually use this stuff for people who have been exposed to Gulf War, the Gulf War Syndrome, those toxic chemicals, 911 victims who inhaled all those chemicals when they went to clean up the mess, on and on and on… So it’s an awesome tool to use on your path to feel amazing, looking your best, but really having the mind-body connection and that is what it’s all about. How many of us get enough sleep? Be honest… do you know how many hours of sleep you get nightly? weekly? yearly? It adds up… Sleep studies suggest we spend a 1/3 of our life sleeping. But how we sleep and the events up to the actual process of sleeping affects how our sleep will be.
Most humans spend minimal dollars on a minimum grade bed, when if we spend a 1/3 of our life sleeping why be stingy? We would rather stay up way too late focusing on that brand new 50” TV on our wall or our brand new smart phone. We’re obsessed.
However most of us dont realize that when we spend pointless time on our phones in bed before sleep and that has a disruption in the production of the sleep inducing hormone, melatonin. As well as disrupting our circadian rhythms.
When we sleep, there is 2 different types of sleep… REM (rapid Eye Movement) and Non REM sleep. We Strive for the deepest sleep possible, Non REM sleep. Fitness goers this is great for you… This is when the body repairs and regrows tissues, builds bone and muscle, and strengthens the immune system.
As you age, you tend to not sleep as deep. Aging is also linked to shorter time spans of sleep, although studies show you still need as much sleep as when you were younger. This also correlates to your metabolism. Researchers say your metabolism gets tired, you need to rest and restore it through sleep.
Heres your CHALLENGE for this week. Can you go to bed an hour earlier for an entire week? Take mental notes of how you feel after you complete the challenge.
